Strategy Manager

About the role

Avison Young is seeking a Strategy Manager to join its global Strategy team during a period of continued growth and evolution. This role sits at the center of the firm’s most important strategic initiatives and offers direct exposure to executive leadership, including regular interaction with the Chief Strategy Officer and C-suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage analytical projects and workstreams supporting firm-wide strategic priorities, including growth initiatives, investments, and operational improvements.
• Support the evaluation of M&A opportunities, recruiting investments, partnerships, and expansion into new services or geographies aligned with Avison Young’s global strategy.
• Perform detailed financial and operational analysis, including data gathering, modeling, validation, and interpretation of results.
• Develop and maintain financial models, investment analyses, due diligence materials, and executive-ready reporting.
• Track and report on strategic initiatives and investment activity against key performance indicators.
• Prepare clear, concise presentation materials for senior management, Executive Committee, and, as appropriate, the Board of Directors.
• Partner closely with senior leaders, Principals, and Managing Directors across regions and service lines, building strong, collaborative working relationships.
• Support ad-hoc strategic initiatives such as business planning, recapitalization analysis, and development and reporting of firm-wide metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field required.
• 4-7 years of professional experience in strategy, management consulting, corporate finance, investment banking, or a related analytical role.
• Experience in professional services or real estate is a plus, but not required.
• MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
