Responsibilities
- Support strategic projects across key focus areas:
- Functional support (e.g., merchandise, marketing, supply chain)
- Business unit support (e.g., Nordstrom.com, Nordstrom Rack, NordstromRack.com/HauteLook.com)
- Scaled events (e.g., Anniversary and Holiday)
- Internal growth initiatives (e.g., key market acceleration, acquisition, geographic expansion)
- Manage multiple project inputs from start to finish in a fast-paced environment
- Develop insights through complex modeling and analysis
- Conduct primary and secondary research
- Create materials to communicate insights and recommendations effectively
- Build credibility with business partners to secure support for analysis and recommendations
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners across key functions and business units
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience at a leading management consulting firm (e.g., Bain, BCG, McKinsey, Deloitte) or experience in retail strategy
- Strong interest in retail and deep understanding of industry dynamics
- Strong quantitative skills, including model building and insight generation
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s degree
Pay
$102,500.00 – $170,500.00 annually (location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience may influence offers)
