Responsibilities
- Conduct technical assessments for prospective and existing clients to identify technology gaps, risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Translate business objectives into practical, cost-effective technology strategies across cloud, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and managed services.
- Design scalable, secure, and supportable technical solutions aligned with client business, operational, and compliance requirements.
- Identify operational and process improvement opportunities across client environments.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Client Success, Managed Services, and Professional Services teams to develop client-focused solutions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to address escalated client concerns, improve service outcomes, and support successful delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation of opportunities, estimates, and initiatives within CRM system.
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical and executive audiences.
- History of advising business leaders on strategic IT decisions.
- Excellent presentation, documentation, organization, and client relationship management skills.
- Prioritize client risks, business needs, modernization initiatives, and future project opportunities in strategic technology roadmaps.
- Lead strategic client meetings, Strategic Business Reviews, roadmap discussions, and executive-level technology planning conversations.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor within strategic and priority client relationships.
- Proactively surface emerging client needs, risks, and opportunities that may require additional technology planning or services.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
- Strategically think and solve problems with strong collaboration skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred (or equivalent professional experience).
- 5+ years of experience in technical consulting, pre-sales engineering, technical account management, vCIO responsibilities, or similar client-facing roles within an MSP or IT services environment.
- Experience working with PSA platforms, CRM systems, quoting tools, RMM platforms, documentation/knowledge base systems, and related service delivery technologies (experience with ConnectWise strongly preferred).
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and MSP service delivery models, including hands-on familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, identity and access management, networking, endpoint management, and security platforms.
- Exposure to AI and automation technologies, including LLMs, AI-driven workflows, and agentic AI platforms preferred.
- Familiarity with industry-specific business applications such as ERP, CRM, MRP, and WMS platforms preferred.
- Experience with or exposure to compliance requirements and/or IT audit practices is preferred.
- On-the-job training and mentorship available.
