About the role
The Manager, Supply Chain 2 role is responsible for overseeing the supply chain processes and systems design & deployment, ensuring flawless product launches, managing global logistics, and driving business execution. The role also involves managing the supplier quality team to set and monitor supplier quality performance KPIs, addressing supplier performance issues, and promoting ongoing quality performance improvement.
Responsibilities
- Maintains responsibility for a set of projects developed by Celestica’s Global Design Services organization.
- Provides direction for source selection and ensures proper process implementation.
- Leads the Commodity Management teams to ensure negotiations meet business requirements and growth plans.
- Leads the supply chain management process for customers from materials pricing and BOM analysis to delivery execution and flexibility performance.
- Quotes and negotiates critical high dollar or strategic commodities or provides the direction to team of commodity managers.
- Provides leadership in the analysis of costed customer bids or quarterly BOM Costing exercises for global customers.
- Works with Global Design team to optimize Design for supply chain performance of Celestica products.
- Provides direction to Commodity Management Teams on contract negotiations.
- Supports quarterly business reviews with customers, and with senior management at key/strategic suppliers.
- Provides leadership and direction with respect to interaction with suppliers.
- Leads process development and development of commodity strategies.
Requirements
Advanced expertise in one or more areas of specialization; applies expertise cross-functionally. Must have 7+ years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Materials Management, Engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Expert knowledge of the marketplace conditions for a broad range of strategic commodities, industry pricing, technology, supply/demand and emerging trends. Excellent understanding of global business environment and Customers business, organization, products and processes. Ability to lead complex negotiations effectively. Expert knowledge of office systems and analytical tools. Expert problem solving skills to deal with Customer/ Supplier issues. Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers. Demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions and with suppliers/ customers to achieve Celestica’s goals.
