Works independently and strategically to identify, project plan, implement, and monitor supply chain expense or utilization opportunities to optimize total organizational expenses. Collaborates with clinical and operational leadership to optimize the selection, standardization, and utilization of products and services. Ensures product and service pricing accuracy, availability, appropriate inventory levels, and efficient delivery to meet patient care needs.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts advanced analytics and scenario-based outcome assessments to inform business operations on potential Total Cost of Ownership impacts from category changes.
  • Optimizes product and service expenses through supply market analysis, value analysis, benchmarking, and utilization assessment to generate value opportunities.
  • Performs competitive analysis, develops and executes negotiation strategies with suppliers, and implements contractual agreements for assigned categories.
  • Evaluates and negotiates commercial terms in proposals, including business risk and adherence to established guidelines.
  • Monitors post-contract execution expenses to ensure category/contract compliance and enacts a semi-annual pipeline of savings opportunities.
  • Ensures accuracy, data integrity, and validity in all work, performing in-depth analysis to support comprehensive value-based decisions.
  • Facilitates Value Analysis meetings as required.
  • Develops complex bid solicitations, reviews proposals, and negotiates vendor terms to optimize contractual pricing and conditions.
  • Ensures all bidding activity is conducted in an open, fair, and transparent procurement process (e.g., RFI, RFP) to deliver best value with integrity.
  • Independently persuades, influences, and negotiates multi-million-dollar contracts to meet the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • Identifies stakeholders, suppliers, and team members, building and maintaining relationships aligned with a segmented supply strategy and supplier performance management process.
  • Adheres to standard work, including procedures and tools, to achieve objectives within defined timescales and budgets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Required).
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Contract Management, Facilities Procurement, Construction Procurement, or a related field (Required).
