Responsibilities

  • Analyze data from suppliers and internal sources to develop, implement and monitor current and future sourcing strategies, and savings opportunities.
  • Conduct market research for products and service relevant to departmental operations.
  • Work with departmental contacts to develop and issue request for proposals (RFP).
  • Proactively request and negotiate new and renewal contracts, ensuring the best possible terms for the health system.
  • Work with internal contacts to review and negotiate contract legal terms.
  • Maintain contracts and ensure they are kept current.
  • Manage meetings with department stakeholders and executive management.
  • Develop expert level knowledge of products/services used in supported departments.
  • Manage cross-functional projects related to implementation and conversion of products/services.
  • Ensure proper communication related to project status occurs in a timely manner.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in business administration, marketing or a related field required. Master's Degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of supply sourcing, data analytics, contract review and negotiation experience required, preferably in healthcare. Experience with contract review preferred. Experience with project management preferred. Experience with SAP Crystal Reports preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Valid and current driver's license required.

  • Ability to travel to various locations in the Omaha/Council Bluffs metro.
