Strategic Sourcing Specialist
About the role
The Strategic Sourcing Specialist plays a crucial role in sourcing and procuring Indirect services and products for Brunswick Corporation and its divisions. This position is hybrid, located in Fond du Lac, WI with 3 days in the office per week. The role involves managing the procurement of MRO, Facilities, and Services, ensuring compliance with project demands across all Brunswick Corporation locations.
Responsibilities
- Research and investigate potential suppliers to ensure the lowest total cost of ownership while meeting performance parameters.
- Evaluate supplier capability, solicit, and analyze RFP/RFQs, and negotiate pricing to finalize purchase contracts.
- Create sourcing strategies for MRO, Facilities, and Services procurement.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure the highest quality products/services at the most cost-effective prices.
- Administer programs supporting daily operations, including MRO, Facilities, and Services procurement.
- Define, measure, analyze, and improve processes and supplier performance to achieve strategic business initiatives.
- Lead and inspire fellow employees by communicating the vision and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Independently review and create purchase orders in Oracle to ensure timely execution of Indirect activities and corporate functions.
- Process certain Indirect invoices in Oracle to ensure timely payment to suppliers.
- Manage projects to execute continuous improvement plans in alignment with the category strategy.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders at all levels to answer inquiries and resolve issues related to assigned categories.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of sourcing/purchasing experience or related purchasing experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related business field.
- CPSM or CPM certification preferred.
- Six Sigma Green Belt desirable.
- Strong data analytics skills.
- Familiarity with Office suite products, especially Excel; Power BI is desired.
- Experience with ERP systems, particularly Oracle.
- High sense of accuracy, accountability, and collaboration.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Pay
The estimated base pay range for this position is $62,800 to $90,500 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
Schedule
This hybrid position requires 3 days in the office per week in Fond du Lac, WI, with the remaining days working remotely.
