Strategic Sourcing Specialist

About the role

The Kirby Risk Service Center, a division of Kirby Risk Corporation, specializes in the manufacturing of electrical wiring and control panels. We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze market trends and identify, qualify, and recommend sources of supply
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers
• Maintain and track supplier performance
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure appropriate costs, schedules, quality, payment, and delivery terms
• Interpret MRP/ERP reports to determine daily purchasing priorities
• Process, review, validate, and distribute completed purchase orders
• Demonstrate professionalism when representing the company in all communications

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management preferred
• Work experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain management, or procurement
• Knowledge of manufacturing, quality, and production control processes
• Sourcing and negotiation experience
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Qualifications

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 1st Shift

What to Expect

• Onsite, indoors, in a controlled temperature environment, with a variation of noise levels
• Utilizing typical office equipment
• Occasional travel for training, customer visits, or vendor meetings
