Strategic Sourcing Manager, Professional Services

About the role

The Strategic Sourcing Manager reports to the Director, Strategic Sourcing, in the Procurement organization. Leads sourcing and supply base strategy development in the Information Technology industry for categories such as Application Development, Ecommerce, Enterprise Software, Technical Consulting, Networking Hardware, Data Center Hardware, PCs/Tablets/Peripherals, Hosting Services, Mobile Service Providers, Telecommunications, professional services, legal, and contingent workforce.

Must have expertise in sourcing and contract negotiations: determining user requirements, recommending practical solutions, and driving company-wide efforts to improve the cost-effective use of technology and services. The role involves leading strategic projects of varying complexity, including cost reduction strategies, process improvement, controls, and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Reviews documentation and legal draft of contracts/agreements, ensuring requirements are met, and works directly with business executive leadership and key stakeholders to ensure language and requirements comply with Lennar Corporation policies and procedures.
• Coordinates work with various departments and serves as a liaison between Lennar Corporation and vendors to oversee the intake, review, and finalization of all contracts that bind the corporation.
• Demonstrates strategic thinking with strong business acumen and the ability to quickly understand complex business programs related to Information Technologies and services.
• Manages and leads programs with cross-functional teams across the organization using project management skills.
• Engages in supplier relationship management and continuous improvement of supplier performance.
• Creates and facilitates the issuance and evaluation of RFPs, RFIs, and similar procurement documents.
• Prepares and/or diagnoses/interprets financial and other relevant analyses related to sourced products.
• Negotiates and prepares contracts with appropriate terms and conditions.
• Resolves conflicts or service level issues regarding supplier performance.
• Maintains an excellent understanding of IT protocols and guidelines; ensures IT minimum standards are applied and properly documented.
• Effectively communicates program needs and status with internal team members and external stakeholders, building stakeholder trust and influencing change.
• Demonstrates a proficient understanding of procurement systems and functionality as well as procure-to-pay processes.
• Manages conflict inherent in procurement operations between suppliers and stakeholders.
• Develops breakthrough strategies delivering both quick wins and longer-term benefits.

Requirements

• 10+ years of Strategic Sourcing and procurement operations experience in the technology industry.
• Proven ability to drive scalable operational transformation in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with large technology partners such as industry leaders within professional services and software/hardware.
• Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to influence strategy, prioritize opportunities, and measure business outcomes.
• Six Sigma and/or CPSM certification preferred.

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
