Strategic Sourcing Manager - Global Network Acquisition
About the role
The Strategic Sourcing team is responsible for building and scaling CoreWeave’s global supplier ecosystem to support rapid data center and network expansion. This role partners closely with Network Engineering, Data Center Development, Construction, Finance, Legal, and Program Management to ensure dark fiber, lit services, colocation interconnects, and carrier services are sourced competitively, reviewed, and managed at scale across CoreWeave’s footprint.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute category strategies for dark fiber, lit fiber, wavelengths, carrier services, IX connectivity, and OSP construction services
Translate network expansion plans and capacity forecasts into sourcing and budget plans
Manage, review and score suppliers, SLA’s and related credits review invoicing and approve
Provide cost, schedule, and risk inputs to Network Architecture, Infrastructure, and Program teams
Lead RFPs, negotiations, and contract awards with ISPs, carriers, utilities, and fiber providers (e.g., dark fiber IRUs, leases, lit services)
Experience negotiating and managing commercial relationships with Tier 1 and regional fiber providers (e.g., Zayo, Lumen, AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, and others)
Negotiate commercial terms including pricing, SLAs, build timelines, capacity rights, renewal structures, and performance remedies
Ensure sourcing strategies align with CoreWeave’s network architecture standards, security requirements, and long-term growth plans
Integrate technical requirements into executable sourcing packages
Support delivery of fiber builds, carrier turn-ups, and interconnect deployments across multiple metros
Track milestones across design, permitting, construction, testing, and service acceptance
Update, maintain, and report from telecom management tool
Establish and manage supplier KPIs covering delivery, availability, resiliency, cost, and responsiveness
Lead supplier performance reviews and remediation plans
Afford market conditions, right-of-way risks, construction constraints, and carrier capacity limitations
Maintain sourcing documentation, contracts, and audit-ready records
Improve sourcing processes to increase speed, resiliency, and total cost of ownership
Support internal governance reviews and executive decision-making
Resolve technical or commercial issues in collaboration with Network Eng., Construction, and Legal
Support expansion into new markets by securing early fiber access and scalable connectivity
Coordinate with carriers, Network Engineering, and Operations teams to troubleshoot fiber outages, service interruptions, and capacity constraints
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Telecom., Business, Operations, or related field
10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, network infrastructure, or carrier services
Direct experience sourcing or managing dark fiber, lit fiber, wavelengths, or telecom network services
Experience negotiating contracts with ISPs, carriers, or network infrastructure providers
Proven ability to manage multi-region projects across design, construction, and network engineering
Experience supporting data centers, cloud infrastructure, telecom, or hyperscale environments
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to ~30%
Authorization to work without current or future sponsorship requirements
Qualifications
Curiosity about global supply markets, capacity constraints, and how procurement and supply chain operations scale in hyper-growth environments
Expertise in applying systems thinking to complex, cross-functional challenges
Ability to translate technical and commercial requirements into executable sourcing strategies
Experience supporting hyperscale, AI, or cloud infrastructure deployments
Familiarity with OSP fiber construction, colocation interconnects, or ecosystems
Experience operating in global or multi-metro network environments
Familiarity with ERP, contract lifecycle management, and sourcing tools

Pay
The base salary range for this role is $134,000 to $179,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
Schedule
We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).
