About the role
The Strategic Sales Manager (SSM) is a critical field sales role representing SKF to large, strategic OEMs. This role is accountable for ensuring a sustainable sales growth through world-class customer experience. The SSM is responsible for taking ownership of current customers and hunting for new ones, understanding the Voice of the Customer (VOC), and articulating it throughout the entire SKF sales, engineering, and customer solutions groups.
Responsibilities
- Deliver consistent year-over-year sustainable market share growth within the assigned Heavy and Handling portfolio of business.
- Develop and manage a new market share pipeline.
- Drive new business opportunities by meeting with customers, discovering their needs, and managing internal and external action items.
- Build and sustain strong external and internal partner relationships.
- Maintain effective business management practices, including building and maintaining a personal territory strategy, pipeline, and sales outlook.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, Engineering preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Application/Sales Engineering, Business Development, Sales, or Sales Management for an industrial products company.
- Secure and in-depth knowledge of the associated industry, customer products, business strategies, financials, and competitive threats.
- Proven track record of success and career progression within an industrial products company.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Skills
- High level of business acumen and accountability.
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple competing tasks while prioritizing market share growth.
- Ability to align priorities between SKF sales, SKF manufacturing, and the customer.
- Problem-solving and performance analysis skills.

Pay
Salary Range: $111,000.00 to $139,000.00
Schedule
Willingness and ability to travel ~50% of the time.
