Strategic Project Lead

About the role

Strategic Projects Lead at an AI startup partnering with leading research teams to build reinforcement learning environments and trajectory datasets that push frontier AI models. You will own multi‑project delivery, manage expert contributors, collaborate with researchers, and shape internal tools while ensuring high‑quality AI data.

Responsibilities

• Own multi‑project delivery from start to finish, tracking lab customer needs and ensuring timely, high‑quality shipments.
• Find, hire, and manage pools of expert contributors who build gyms and trajectories, leading them through influence rather than authority.
• Work with researchers to understand priorities and adjust milestones when requirements change overnight.
• Do hands‑on product work with engineers to shape internal tools and workflows behind each deliverable.
• Check trajectories, verifiers, and evaluations before they reach customers, distinguishing truly useful work from work that only looks complete.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, or a fast‑paced operations role at a startup.
• Experience as a Strategic Projects Lead or Deployment Strategist at AI data labs or technology firms.

Pay

185K – 205K base salary + 0.05%–0.15% equity + annual performance bonus.

Schedule

Hybrid – New York City (3+ days/week in‑office).
