Strategic Procurement Manager

Responsibilities

• Serve as the trusted partner and primary point of contact for internal business partners, guiding them through the entire end-to-end procurement lifecycle.
• Proactively engage and partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including Legal, Infosec, IT, and FP&A, to preemptively identify and address their technical, financial, and risk-related requirements.
• Manage multiple BU and vendor engagements and high-volume procurement activities simultaneously across diverse indirect spend categories.
• Collaborate with business partners and Procurement team members to develop, enhance and execute category strategies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and align sourcing strategies accordingly.
• Support sourcing initiatives, including RFIs/RFPs, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations.
• Maintain vendor relationships, manage contract renewals, and monitor supplier performance where applicable.
• Conduct market and supplier research to stay current on trends and benchmark pricing.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the procurement organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain, preferably in the software category or technology domain.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Basic proficiency and demonstrable experience with fundamental contractual terms and commercial agreements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite / Google Workspace; experience with one or more of procurement tools (e.g., NetSuite), financial planning/ERP systems (e.g. Anaplan, Oracle), project management/productivity (eg. Monday.com, FreshService, Sharepoint etc) is a strong plus.
• Demonstrable experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to enhance procurement efficiency and insights is a great plus.
• Excel at relationship building.
• Be able to act strategically while being a hands-on team member.

Preferred

• Experience in indirect procurement within a mid-to-large sized enterprise.
• Familiarity with software licensing models / SaaS agreements.
• Experience with one or more Indirect categories is a plus.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and project management skills.
