The Strategic Procurement Lead - Americas
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional category strategies aligned with global procurement frameworks.
- Source, select, and negotiate with suppliers, manage supplier relationship (SRM), and develop preferred supplier programmes.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier selection, and contract negotiations across key FM categories.
- Support bid activity and new business mobilisation with robust commercial and supply chain solutions.
- Ensure compliance with Macro’s procurement governance, policies, and ethical standards.
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain performance across the Americas, ensuring continuity, efficiency, and risk mitigation.
- Provide key account support. Partner with operations to optimise service delivery models.
- Implement supplier performance management, KPIs, and continuous improvement programmes, including monitoring, reviewing, and reporting supplier performance statistics.
Stakeholder & Supplier Engagement
- Drive sustainability, diversity, and responsible sourcing initiatives across the region.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and strategic suppliers.
- Represent the Americas region within global procurement and supply chain forums.
- Provide commercial insight, market intelligence, and risk analysis to senior leadership.
- Keep abreast of industry best practices and regulations within the industry.
- Manage and ensure communication of SCM best practice to the wider business.
Qualifications
- An articulate and self-motivated Strategic Procurement leader with significant expertise and experience specifically within the Americas Facility Management (FM) arena.
- Strong commercial acumen, training or experience in contract law and/or contract formulation is an advantage.
- Expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- A team player with the ability to work autonomously, remotely and flexibly.
- Diligent and analytical with good organization, planning, and team leadership skills.
- Digitally savvy with advanced skills in Procurement software (e.g. Proactis), Microsoft 365 especially Excel, Co-pilot, PowerPoint and Power BI.
- Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working across multiple countries or regions.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Related Masters and/or degree qualification is a distinct advantage.
- Professional certifications (CIPS, APICS, CPSM, CSCP, PMP, etc.) is a distinct advantage.
