About the role
AFC is seeking a Strategic Insurance Producer to drive insurance sales performance and premium growth for the AFC business. This role functions as an embedded insurance leader within a commercial lending environment.
Responsibilities
Take direct, aggressive ownership of insurance sales performance by actively driving product penetration, closing deals, and maximizing premium growth across the AFC branch network.
Partner directly with AFC branch networks and sales leadership to execute market strategies, train team members on insurance value propositions, and systematically remove adoption barriers.
Provide critical field-level feedback to help define the growth strategy and roadmaps for AFC's insurance portfolio, and assist in managing relationships with insurance underwriters and fronting carriers.
Ensure all execution, sales tactics, and marketing materials strictly adhere to multi-state insurance regulations and corporate compliance standards.
Drive the aggressive rollout and adoption of insurance features integrated into the AFC digital floorplan checkout experience.
Execute clear, consistent frameworks for product delivery, claims routing, and customer retention in the field.
Requirements
7+ years of experience in commercial insurance production, program management, or bank-embedded insurance (bancassurance) leadership.
Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, or Business Administration.
Active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance producer license, or the ability to obtain one within an agreed-upon timeframe.
Proven track record of scaling commercial insurance programs within a banking, lending, or automotive finance environment.
Strong communication, prioritization, and executive presentation skills.
Qualifications
Deep understanding of commercial property and casualty (P&C) insurance, collateral protection insurance (CPI), or dealer open lot structures.
Comprehensive knowledge of commercial lending, automotive floorplan financing, or banking frameworks.
Strong understanding of insurance product lifecycles, regulatory compliance, and multi-state policy structures.
Functional expertise in program production, commercial distribution, and business development within a banking or financial institution.
Managing relationships with third-party insurance carriers, fronting partners, reinsurers, and program administrators.
Financial modeling related to premium volume, non-interest revenue optimization, and portfolio loss-ratio analysis.
Familiarity with insurance agency management systems, risk management platforms, and loan origination software.
Technical data fluency to evaluate program penetration rates, claims efficiencies, and financial performance metrics.
Fluency in designing and optimizing digital, embedded workflows for insurance offerings during financial checkouts.
