Strategic Initiatives College Intern (Graduate Students Preferred)
About the Role
The Ohio Department of Medicaid is seeking a graduate student to serve as a Strategic Initiatives Intern for the agency’s Office of Strategic Initiatives, Maternal, Child and Family Wellness (MCFW) Section. This role supports the MCFW team on projects aimed at improving health outcomes for pregnant individuals, infants, children, and families enrolled in Medicaid. Ideal for graduate students interested in public health, health policy, program evaluation, data analysis, public administration, or related fields.
Responsibilities
- Conduct literature reviews, environmental scans, and background research to inform policy and program decisions.
- Assist with qualitative and quantitative data analysis to support program evaluation and performance monitoring.
- Support development of internal reports, briefing materials, presentations, and communication products.
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of maternal, child, and family health initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned to advance strategic priorities (special projects, maintaining logs, records, and files, etc.).
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university (graduate students preferred).
- Active enrollment in an MHA, MPH, MPA, or similar graduate program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is strongly preferred.

Pay
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour.
Schedule
Part-time, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
