Strategic Growth Manager - Agentic Commerce
About the role
We are moving from a world where humans click "buy" to a world where AI agents negotiate, book, and transact on our behalf. You will help define and execute Adyen’s Go-to-Market strategy for this emerging channel.
What you’ll do
- Define the Playbook: Identify the right first-mover merchants, structure the commercial approach, and create the feedback loop between the market and our Product team.
- Consult, Don’t Just Sell: Act as a trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders, helping them navigate the hype, understand infrastructure risks, and architect data feeds for the agentic economy.
- Orchestrate the Ecosystem: Ensure Adyen remains the neutral connector in a fragmented ecosystem, working with major AI platforms like OpenAI, Google, etc.
- Enable the Organization: Turn learnings into a GTM engine, collaborating with marketing to train wider Sales and Account Management teams on tokens, LLMs, and agentic protocols.
- Protect the Merchant: Champion our "Merchant-First" principles, ensuring protocols evolve to prioritize merchant control, data privacy, and liability protection.
- Operate in the epicenter of the AI boom: Secure and manage high-velocity pilots with US-based AI platforms (San Francisco/Seattle/New York).
- Speed to Market: Help our largest US enterprise merchants (Retail, Mobility, Platforms) launch their first "Instant Checkout" use cases, capturing early market share.

- A Strategic Builder: Comfortable working with ambiguity, co-creating solutions with clients.
- Commercially Sharp: Navigating complex enterprise organizations and driving strategic initiatives resulting in real volume.
- Tech Fluency: Understanding the nuances of the payments stack, explaining differences between Network Tokens and Virtual Cards to finance professionals.
- Curious about AI Infrastructure: Following the evolution of agentic systems, understanding emerging agent protocols, and how model providers are approaching commerce.
- Anti-Hype: Cutting through noise, focusing on real operational problems like inventory visibility, authentication, and liability.
- Collaborative: Thriving in a flat structure, working closely across Commercial, Product, Legal, and Partnerships teams.
Experience
- 6-8 years of experience in commercial-facing or GTM strategy roles.
Why now?
Agentic commerce is in its infrastructure phase. The protocols, standards, and commercial models are being written and tested right now. In this role, you will be authoring these models, shaping how AI-initiated transactions work at scale.
Pay
The annual base salary range for this role is $190,000 - $240,000 + RSUs.
