About the role

This remote Strategic Finance Project Lead role is a contract position focused on guiding financial initiatives that support business strategy and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead project-based financial analysis, develop models, and interpret financial statements to inform decision-making.
• Cook up with cross-functional stakeholders, prepare concise financial reports, and present insights to leadership in clear, accessible language.
• Oversee project timelines, ensure data accuracy, and align financial recommendations with broader organizational goals.
• Identify risks and opportunities, propose improvements to financial processes, and support strategic planning activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret complex data, build financial models, and support strategic decisions.
• Possess solid Finance expertise, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
• Possess a thorough understanding of Financial Statements to evaluate business health and project outcomes.
• Possess Accounting knowledge to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper treatment of financial transactions.
• Possess clear and effective Communication skills to present findings, collaborate with stakeholders, and document project progress.
• Experience leading finance-related projects or initiatives, preferably in a strategic or consulting capacity.
• Able to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Proficient with spreadsheet tools and financial analysis software; experience with BI or reporting tools is an advantage.
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is beneficial.
