Strategic Finance Partner
About the role
We are hiring for a Finance Business Partner to serve as a strategic partner with our Fuels Marketing business unit leader. This role will be the primary finance liaison for the SVP, Fuels Marketing to understand strategic goals, challenge assumptions, drive accountability, and provide financial guidance.
Responsibilities
- Preparing regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), financial results, cost drivers, and profitability metrics.
- Analyze and interpret financial results, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Identify strengths, gaps, and recommend adjustments to close gaps.
- Lead budget development and management, forecasting/re-forecasting, and variance analysis process for the Fuels Marketing Business Unit.
- Support decisions related to capital investments and asset management.
- Create a Retail process and system of modeling and supporting all capital planning and deployment.
- Build and maintain financial models and modeling tools to support investment decisions, pricing strategies, and resource planning.
- Support business cases and ROI analysis for new initiatives and projects, analyze sales opportunities, inventory/expenses, and profitability.
- Identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the Fuels Marketing business unit, providing recommendations for improvements.
- Analyze and optimize operating expenses to improve and optimize profitability.
- Work closely with the SVP, Fuels Marketing and other stakeholders, including FP&A and Accounting, in the strategic planning process and financial decision-making to ensure that financial considerations are integrated into business planning and operations.
- Facilitate communication between Finance departments and other parts of the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA, CPA, or CMA a plus).
- 7+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or a related finance or accounting role, including 3+ years of team leadership.
- Proven ability to influence and challenge stakeholders constructively; comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and dynamic business environment.
- Advanced Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis skills; proficiency in financial planning tools and/or BI tools.
- Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal, and executive presentation skills; ability to synthesize financials for non-financial stakeholders.
- Track record of partnering with senior business leaders and influencing strategic decisions.
- Business acumen with a strong understanding of financial statements and performance metrics.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and coach a team of professionals.
Qualifications

Pay
The pay range for this position is $136,200.00 - $204,200.00. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities and geographic location, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
