Strategic Finance Analyst II (Revenue)

About the role

The Strategic Finance team supports Affirm’s growth in revenue streams with large business-to-business (“B2B”) merchant partners. This role involves partnering with cross-functional leaders to drive business outcomes through strategic and analytic support, building and maintaining financial models, collaborating with the ML modeling team, establishing performance metrics, and delivering scalable financial dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional leaders (Product, Growth Analytics, Credit, Revenue, and Merchant Pricing) to drive business outcomes through strategic and analytic support
• Build and maintain financial models to forecast, reconcile, and describe variances for metrics
• Collaborate with the ML modeling team to marry your modeling with aggregated ML forecasts
• Establish top-line performance metrics and targets, analyze and report realized financial performance to executives and other company leaders, and drive accountability for results
• Design and deliver scalable automated user and financial dashboards and analytics for cross-departmental and executive consumption

• 2+ years experience in fast-paced analytical roles (strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, data science, analytics, etc.)
• Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex financial information into clear, concise reports
• A high attention to detail but the ability to see the big picture and evaluate analyses with strategic business context
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the capability to navigate cross-functional collaborations effectively and be front and center with company executives
• A curiosity to build things (processes, models, etc.) with/for/around AI
• Experience with merchant payments and/or providing analytical support to B2B client relationship and sales teams a plus
• Excellent working proficiency in Excel (you should be prepared for a financial model case study), and comfort with SQL, Sigma, Cursor, and/or other data visualization tools; Python knowledge a plus

Benefits

Equity grade - 4
Base pay range (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT): $115,000 - $165,000
Base pay range (all other U.S. states): $101,000 - $151,000
