Strategic Finance Analyst II (Revenue)
About the role
The Strategic Finance team supports Affirm's growth in revenue streams with large business-to-business ("B2B") merchant partners. This role involves partnering with cross-functional leaders to drive business outcomes through strategic and analytic support, building and maintaining financial models, collaborating with the ML modeling team, establishing performance metrics, and delivering scalable user and financial dashboards.
Responsibilities
- Partner with cross-functional leaders (Product, Growth Analytics, Credit, Revenue, and Merchant Pricing) to drive business outcomes through strategic and analytic support
- Build and maintain financial models to forecast, reconcile, and describe variances for metrics across different revenue streams
- Collaborate with the ML modeling team to integrate your financial models with aggregated ML forecasts
- Establish top-line performance metrics and targets, analyze realized financial performance, and drive accountability for results
- Design and deliver scalable automated user and financial dashboards and analytics for cross-departmental and executive consumption
Requirements
- Passion and drive to disrupt the lending and financial industry for the better
- Strong sense of ownership, intention, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to think creatively and critically in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous work environment
- 2+ years of experience in fast-paced analytical roles such as strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, data science, analytics, etc.
- Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex financial information into clear, concise reports
- A high attention to detail but also the ability to see the big picture and evaluate analyses with strategic business context
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of navigating cross-functional collaborations and presenting to all levels of the organization
- A curiosity to build processes, models, and tools around AI
- Experience with merchant payments and/or providing analytical support to B2B client relationship and sales teams is a plus
- Proficiency in Excel, comfortable with SQL, Sigma, Cursor, or other data visualization tools; Python knowledge is a plus

- Competitive base pay range (USA): $101,000 - $151,000 per year
- Equity grade: 4
