Strategic Communications Specialist

Join our team as a Strategic Communications Specialist and support the Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3) by shaping its internal and external messaging, events, and brand. You will plan communication strategies, produce news and digital content, and support executive engagements, ensure a clear, consistent voice across every channel. Position is contingent upon contract award** Work Schedule and Location On-Site This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm in Linthicum Heights, MD. Travel about 15-20 local DC-area events and 3-5 CONUS trips per year supporting conferences and outreach; no overseas travel. Draft communication strategies, talking points, and messaging productsPlan and execute special events, outreach, and brand campaignsDevelop news and informational content for internal and external audiencesMaintain communication standards across web, publications, presentations, and digital platformsCoordinate with the Public Affairs Office on approvals and documentationSupport conferences and media events Required Active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship12+ years of experience in strategic communications or a similar field, or 8+ years with a BA/BS, or 6+ years with an MA/MS/MBAExperience in Intelligence or Cyberspace communications and/or Federal and DoD policies and proceduresExcellent oral and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Desired DoD Public Affairs or DINFOS backgroundMarketing, advertising, and brand managementWeb and social content management At FWI, we place the highest importance on creating an exceptional employee experience.
