About the role

KBR is seeking a Senior Acquisition Support and Strategic Communication Specialist to support senior leadership across Space Systems Command. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, highly collaborative, able to influence peers, and interacts comfortably with senior leadership across government and private industry. The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate plans, products, and processes for Space Force, Portfolio Acquisition Executives (PAEs), Directors, Deltas, and program offices.
  • Implement innovative communication methods demonstrating breadth and knowledge of the latest industry best practices.
  • Develop, manage, and execute end-to-end event production.
  • Develop and manage branding, brand strategies, and guidelines.
  • Support messaging efforts to defend, educate, and promote the organization's mission.
  • Support senior leader strategic engagements and preparation packages, ensuring implementation aligns with customers' vision(s).
  • Develop a range of communication products leveraging modern tools, mediums, and technologies to assist senior leaders in achieving strategic objectives.
  • Provide full-service multimedia capabilities, including professional photography, end-to-end video production, and innovative design using the latest technologies and methods.
  • Research, draft, and edit articles, speeches, and testimony for the director and/or PAE.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related science field (e.g., Business, Cost Estimating/Analysis, Financial Management, Engineering, Mathematics, or other related technical discipline).
  • 10 years of applicable job experience.
  • Active Secret clearance (TS/SCI required to be considered).
  • Understanding of Program Management for ACAT I through ACAT III programs.
  • Knowledge of Higher Headquarters, Air Force, and Space Force processes and procedures as they relate to functional responsibilities.
  • Ability to speak and write using Air Force, Space Force, and Space Acquisition terminology appropriately.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Goal-oriented, strategic thinker who is also willing to execute tactical tasks.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related science field (e.g., Business, Cost Estimating/Analysis, Financial Management, Engineering, Mathematics, or other related technical discipline).
  • Previous experience in space acquisition and/or the technology sector, with 5+ years in communications and project management.
  • Experience with Confluence, JIRA, and/or TMT.
  • Certifications: DAWIA/APDP Program Management Level III, Project Management Professional (PMP), and/or PMP Program Management Professional (PgMP).

Pay

Basic compensation: $140,000–$155,000. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional compensation may include bonuses, commissions, sign-on bonuses, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
