Strategic Cloud Engineer, Application Development, Google Public Sector

This opportunity will remain online based on business needs which may be before or after the specified date. Google Public Sector brings the magic of Google to the mission of government and education with solutions purpose-built for enterprises.

Responsibilities

• Manage processes to create reusable artifacts for public sector business, working in partnership with other service delivery teams to establish global processes for various compliance or private cloud related solutions for the aimed customers.
• Create and deliver best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, sample code, and technical presentations adapting to different levels of key business and technical stakeholders.
• Serve as a key strategic advisor to customers to create and solve complex application development and machine learning challenges.
• Work with customers, partners, and Google product teams to deliver tailored solutions into production.
• Work with a multi-organizational project team to serve as a technical leader.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen to meet customer and compliance requirements, including potential access to classified information.
• Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. 6 years of experience in system design or one programming language (e.g., Java, C++, Python, etc.). 6 years of experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.
• Preferred qualifications: Experience translating business requirements into technology solutions for customers adopting cloud solutions. Experience collaborating with channel partners, systems integrators and third-party developers to deliver high-impact solutions. Experience in application/workload migration to public cloud providers such as Google Cloud Platform. Ability to engage effectively with executives of large enterprises on both technical and non-technical matters.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI US Government security clearance.

Benefits

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $152000 - $222000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
