Strategic Acct Rep
About the role
The Strategic Account Representative will monitor customer request dates and forecasts, work closely with demand planning and supply chain management to expedite products, and communicate items ready to ship and desired shipping requirements with customers. They will also create customs invoices and labels, update customer portals, coordinate shipping needs, and represent Inside Sales in weekly production planning meetings.
Responsibilities
- Monitor customer request dates and forecasts and work closely with demand planning and supply chain management to expedite products and as necessary, work with engineering to find acceptable alternative products.
- Create customs invoices and labels, update customer portal as well as coordinate shipping needs such as air, boat, etc. to fill orders more efficiently.
- Work closely with Yaskawa Japan regarding orders, forecasts, changes and expedite requests.
- Represent Inside Sales in weekly production planning meetings and assist demand-planning efforts through system and transaction maintenance, forecasting and monitoring of stock as well as via demand planning meetings.
- Maintain sales booking and billings in relationship to backlog and forecasts and work with outside sales team to maintain current and capture new business.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have a degree in business or equivalent experience in supply chain handling complex product issues and demanding customer facing experience. Knowledge of the industrial automation and semiconductor industry as well as a technical orientation sufficient to support the sales of electrical and mechanical products is required. A strong working knowledge of SAP, ability to communicate and negotiate with all levels of internal and external organizations globally as well as anticipate issues in advance is essential.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the schedule flexibility for evening meetings several times a month, handle pressure situations with changing requirements and deadlines, while focused on favorable solutions for all.
Skills
A strong working knowledge of SAP, ability to communicate and negotiate with all levels of internal and external organizations globally as well as anticipate issues in advance.
