Responsibilities
- Possess the ability to prospect, identify, qualify, and target accounts fitting the national account profile.
- Develop strategies enabling Stryten Energy to present a unified sales and service program to national customers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the field, visiting accounts, resolving issues, and communicating information about assigned national accounts.
- Ensure coverage of accounts through OEM and Regional Managers, as well as internal support staff.
- Establish and monitor adherence to National Accounts pricing and procedures guidelines as the primary coordinator for those accounts.
- Help tailor products and programs to the needs of national accounts.
- Aid in controlling working capital, including overdue accounts receivables.
- Operate within an acceptable sales-to-expense ratio.
- Forecast and track sales activity for assigned accounts.
- Advise in the development of national sales tools.
- Complete projects and reports in a timely manner.
- Perform additional tasks and functions as determined by leadership.
Qualifications
- Education: BS Degree in business or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Five (5) years of previous Major Accounts Selling experience.
- Competencies: Well-developed sales management skills, strong written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Skills: Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet; technical competency and PC proficiency.
- Knowledge: Demonstrated success in territory sales or key account management; high level of business acumen and quantitative/analytical capacity.
- Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with National Account team and execute National Account strategy and programs in the region.
- Selling Skills: Strategic selling skills, effective negotiating skills, commitment to customers; knowledge of the Transportation market is a plus.
- Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; collaborative work style, resourcefulness, creativity, excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Environment & Physical Demands: Based out of the employee’s home office; ability to move around the home office and client sites, including walking, standing; prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and speaking on the phone.
- Travel: Estimated overnight travel for the position is 65% to 75%.
