STR MGMT/HOME & ELECTRONICS DEPT LEADER

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of Home and Electronics departments
• Staff departments and develop associates
• Ensure customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness and cleanliness are met
• Select, hire, train and lead associates
• Achieve/exceed sales, budget and customer satisfaction targets
• Implement and execute company initiatives
• Reinforce safety programs
• Monitor and control expenses
• Manage markdown process
• Supervise and coach direct reports

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Effective communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Proficient computer knowledge
• Proven supervisory experience
• Prior experience in selection and hiring
• Forklift certification
• Two years' management experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred

• Standing for extended periods
• Walking constantly
• Lifting up to 25 pounds frequently
