Storytellers/ Actors/ Tutors - Part Time

About the role

We're looking for part-time storytellers, actors, and tutors to work in schools and communities in the Orlando area. Our mission is to teach children as young as 3 years old how to play chess through fun and engaging stories.

Responsibilities

• Tell stories to make chess lessons fun and engaging
• Use our proven curriculum with stories, games, and puzzles
• Work with our clear lesson plans, training, and ongoing support
• Show leadership potential for future "Super Tutor" roles
• Lead demo classes and build relationships with schools and community partners

Requirements

• Fun, animated, and great with children aged 3-7
• Passion for teaching and hospitality
• Organized, responsible, and reliable
• Great communicator - responsive to families, schools, and our team
• Comfortable with outreach (referrals, school contacts, community opportunities)
• Familiarity with chess is a plus but not required
• Background in performance, teaching, or early childhood education is a bonus
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Background check required at hire

Benefits

• $40/hour teaching rate
• Non-teaching/training time compensated at $25/hour
• After school hours primarily, with some in-school hours
• Choose your own hours (Monday to Friday, with optional weekends)
