Story Land - Food & Beverage Sales Associate (Seasonal)

About the Role

This position offers the ability to work in Food & Beverage locations or a scheduled combination of retail gift shops, rentals, and other revenue-generating areas. As a Food & Beverage Sales Associate at Story Land, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing guest experience and driving sales.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a fun and inviting manner; smile and communicate with coworkers and guests.
• Assist guests by quickly and politely answering questions about retail or food products.
• Maintain a general knowledge of items to assist guests with product-related inquiries.
• Engage in suggestive selling to promote items to guests.
• Restock merchandise as needed.
• Conduct POS transactions while ensuring all procedures are followed, including credit and refund transactions.
• Ensure compliance with PCI and park guidelines for all financial transactions.
• Take food and beverage orders and prepare/serve them while following all procedures and safety guidelines.
• Replenish condiments, beverages, and food supplies while maintaining a clean work area.
• Maintain cleanliness within all assigned work areas.
• Monitor product quality and communicate shrinkage/waste to the lead and/or supervisor.
• Assist in other areas of the park to ensure guest satisfaction, if needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements

• Must be at least 14 years of age to comply with New Hampshire Child Labor Laws.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shift.
• Ability to comply with all uniform policies.
• Must possess a safety-oriented mindset and understand the importance of complying with all state and local food preparation and serving regulations.
• Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner.
• Ability to positively engage with guests to promote sales and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independently.

Qualifications

• No education requirements for this role.
• Previous work experience is not required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for the majority of the workday.
• Ability to occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders.
• Ability to withstand heat and humidity from food preparation equipment.
• Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 30 pounds or more.

Working Conditions

• Based in one or more food stall and/or restaurant locations throughout the park, with exposure to both indoor and outdoor environments.
• Frequent exposure to variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, and other weather conditions.
• Subject to constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, and heavily populated environments.
