Storeroom Attendant - Integrated Supply

About the role

Storeroom Attendant is an individual contributor positioned within a customer's location to fulfill daily receiving, stocking, issuing, and cycle counting of customer and/or Vallen inventory, while maintaining a professional, clean, and organized work environment. This is a temp position with possibility of temp-to-hire for the right candidate. Must be a US Citizen. Facility has no AC (can get hot in summer; mandated water breaks and large fans provided for cooling). No forklift use required. Location: North Charleston, SC.

Responsibilities

• Unload, receive, and put away incoming product, goods, tools, and/or equipment; unpack bales/crates/containers; check for damage and invoice discrepancies
• Sort, label, move, and store items per predetermined sequence (size, style, product codes); optimize crib space
• Issue product, goods, tools, and/or equipment to site employees; maintain accurate records of issued/returned items
• Enter data into database/computerized systems to maintain stock records; retrieve information for inquiries (inventory levels, delivery schedules); document discrepancies on error logs

Experience

• 3+ months of relevant experience and/or training
• Experience loading, unloading, picking, packing, or moving goods in a warehouse environment
• Forklift/cherry picker experience - preferred
• Experience with cycle counting and inventory - helpful

Key Skills

• Storeroom/inventory management
• Basic computer proficiency (MS Office; Vista, Control, SX.e, Prophet 21 - preferred); will train on internal Vallen systems
• Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide; rate/ratio/percent computation preferred)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Team collaboration and self-motivation

Eligibility & Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen
• High school diploma or equivalent - preferred (not required)
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work orders, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Attention to detail and safety-minded approach
• Steel toe or safety shoes required
• Punctual and reliable

Pay

$22.00 - 23.00/ hr
