Storekeeper 2 - Iowa Veterans Home, Part Time

About the role

The Iowa Veterans Home is seeking a part-time Storekeeper 2 to support the Quartermaster and Central Supply departments. This role involves maintaining and delivering inventory to supply resident care units.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and unloading supplies delivered to the facility.
• Receiving requisitions and filling work orders to the units/departments.
• Tracking and issuing medical equipment according to preventative maintenance procedures.
• Completing purchase orders as needed.
• Operating electric or hand pallet trucks and 4-wheeled carts.
• Lifting, bending, twisting, squatting, pushing, and pulling heavy loads.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience equivalent to two years of full-time clerical, inventory, stores, supply, warehousing, or similar work.
• OR current continuous experience in the state executive branch including twelve months of full-time work as a Storekeeper 1.
• Required Commercial Drivers License and endorsements within a specified period.
