Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Loads and unloads merchandise
  • Examines for damage or shortages
  • Verifies type and quantity of merchandise received
  • Assists in assembly and loading of merchandise
  • Unpacks, segregates, and stocks counters and shelves with merchandise
  • Pricing and stamping merchandise
  • Conducts periodic inventories by counting stock items and maintaining cleanliness
  • Moves and stacks designated layaway merchandise
  • Returns merchandise to store as required
  • Ensures proper documentation and copies are forwarded to appropriate departments
  • Operates price tag machine, unloads boxes and packages, and pulls merchandise from stock or stock shelves
  • Aids customers in locating merchandise and answering questions

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience
  • Hazardous Material (HazMat) training within 90 days of hire
  • Six months experience performing similar duties

Qualifications

  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and handle merchandise up to 50 pounds with assistance
