About the role
At Ashley Furniture, the Visual role is crucial in creating visually engaging store displays, interior layouts, and balanced audio elements. This position works under the guidance of Visual Leadership to enhance the shopping experience for guests.
Responsibilities
- Implement a visual merchandising strategy to achieve sales volume and financial objectives.
- Create and execute visually appealing and balanced store merchandising displays, coordinate layout plans, and transition seasonal products.
- Merchandise displays, signage, point-of-sale, and select areas regularly to maximize product sell-through.
- Execute floor moves or any necessary changes, communicate with Visual management on sold items, and complete store recovery processes.
- Maintain store interior and exterior appearance, initiate repairs, and coordinate product tagging, felt-dotting, and showroom placement.
- Participate in the bi-annual inventory process, adhere to visual merchandising standards, and ensure compliance with audio/visual communication standards.
- Develop knowledge of Company products, promotions, and store functions, stay updated on fashion styles and trends, mentor staff, and assist in visual maintenance.
- Coordinate with the store manager on regular tasks, visual needs, incoming products, point-of-sale materials, and additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the US.
- At least 18 years old.
- 2 years experience in retail store visual merchandising, preferably in home furnishings (preferred).
- Regularly lift objects over 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Able to transport loads of 100 IBS with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Associate degree in interior design, merchandising, or equivalent work experience (preferred).
- Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Maintain reliable attendance.
- Thrive in a team environment.
