Store Team Member (Cashier, Stocker, Animal Care)

Responsibilities

As a Store Team Member at Pet Supplies Plus you will provide exceptional, neighborly service while assisting customers with a wide variety of pet‑related needs. Typical duties include:

• Helping customers select the right toys, food, and accessories for their pets.
• Reviewing and comparing ingredient labels for concerned pet owners.
• Fitting harnesses, recommending products, and educating customers of all ages on pet ownership.
• Stocking shelves, unloading delivery trucks, and carrying purchases to customers’ vehicles.
• Feeding, cleaning, and maintaining the health of in‑store pets and their habitats.
• Operating the cash register with accuracy and providing Preferred Pet Club information.
• Supporting teammates by stepping in when extra help is needed.

Specializations (optional areas of focus)

• Cashier: Process purchases efficiently and share membership benefits.
• Stocker: Safely unload deliveries, stock shelves, and transport bulk items to customers’ cars.
• Pet Care: Clean habitats, feed animals, and answer questions about animal care.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 40–65 lb and stand for long periods.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Pass a drug screening where applicable.
• Be at least 16 years old.
• Passionate about animals and knowledgeable about pet products.
