Store Systems Project Specialist
Position Summary
The Store Systems Project Specialist is responsible for coordinating the delivery, installation, and operational setup of store systems and equipment for new store openings and remodels. This role ensures all assigned tasks are aligned with approved project requirements. The specialist acts as the key liaison between vendors, internal departments, and project managers to ensure timely and cost-effective execution of New Store assets and systems deployment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Cook up logistics and labor for the delivery, installation, and setup of project related equipment and store systems.
- Serve as the primary contact for vendor scheduling, site readiness, and installation oversight for new store projects.
- Provide accounting teams with appropriate cost tracking and documentation for approved projects.
- Collaborate with New Store Development, Store Operations, Construction, and IT teams to ensure project milestones and tracking requirements are met.
- Maintain and update project schedules, installation trackers, and punch lists to support capital asset readiness.
- Participate in project closeout processes, including asset tagging, documentation, and project-to-asset transfer coordination.
- Identify risks or delays that could impact asset readiness or project completion timelines and escalate appropriately.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls related to capital project approvals, tracking, and reporting.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience working in an IT related field where hardware and software usage and terminology are used regularly.
- Proficient in building operational or technical documentation for use by non-technical or technical staff/vendors.
- Experience scheduling with multiple vendors and keeping up with date changes in a fast-paced environment.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Microsoft Office Skills: Excel, Word, and Power Point.
Physical Requirements
- Minimal travel to stores and distribution centers.
- Duties frequently involve being seated for extended periods of time and using computers.
- Ability to remain in a normal seated position regularly.
- Ability to see, hear, and speak regularly.
- Ability to grip, reach, and pinch with arms and hands frequently.
- Ability to bend and twist occasionally.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
