Store Sales Associate

About the Role

The Sales Associate plays a critical role in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction through product knowledge and engagement. This position requires a proactive individual who demonstrates integrity, effective communication, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic retail environment. The Sales Associate contributes to a positive work culture, supports change management, and assists in loss prevention efforts.

Responsibilities

• Process freight and assist with price changes/markdowns.
• Balance registers according to company policy and handle all cash, checks, and credit card transactions correctly.
• Bag merchandise efficiently and complete customer transactions in a timely manner.
• Obtain management approval for returns, voids, and checks as needed.
• Perform maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Provide excellent customer service, including greeting customers, assisting with fitting room policies, and thanking customers for their business.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a professional, neat appearance, including wearing a name tag.
• Assist management in merchandising the sales floor based on stock levels.
• Explain exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions.
• Support Loss Prevention procedures by preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting incidents of theft or dishonesty, and adhering to operational policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages).
