Store Sales Associate

About the role

Citi Trends is seeking a dedicated Store Sales Associate to join our team at one of the largest chains in the value-priced urban apparel industry. This is an opportunity to grow with a expanding company and take on leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Process freight and assist with price changes/markdowns.
• Balance register according to company policy.
• Call out prices for customers during transactions and bag merchandise efficiently.
• Handle all cash, checks, and credit cards correctly and per company policy, including obtaining management approval for returns, voids, and checks.
• Perform maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Provide excellent customer service: greet customers, follow fitting room policies, ring customers promptly, thank them for shopping, and invite them to return.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a professional, neat appearance, including wearing a name tag.
• Assist management in merchandising the sales floor according to stock levels and with any tasks requested per company policy.
• Explain exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions.
• Assist the Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting theft or dishonesty, and following all operational policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
