Store Sales Associate

About the role

Responsibilities

• Process freight and assist with price changes/markdowns
• Balance register according to company policy
• Call out prices for customers during transactions and bag merchandise efficiently
• Handle all cash, checks, and credit cards correctly per company policy, including obtaining management approval for returns, voids, and checks
• Perform maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned
• Provide excellent customer service: greet customers, follow fitting room policies, ring transactions promptly, and thank customers for shopping
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a professional, neat appearance, including wearing a name tag
• Assist management in merchandising the sales floor according to stock levels and with any tasks requested per company policy
• Explain exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions
• Assist the Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting incidents of theft or dishonesty, and following all operational policies

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
• Proficiency in mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
