Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment
- Achieve and exceed sales and profit goals
- Maintain quality assurance standards

- Recommend grocery items to customers
- Check product quality and freshness
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise
- Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies
- Adhere to food safety regulations
- Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers
- Report safety risks/issues and illegal activity
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Qualifications
- Minimum ability to handle stressful situations
- Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
- Effective communication skills
- Desired: retail experience, second language proficiency
- Create a welcoming environment for customers
- Gain and maintain knowledge of products
- Respond to customer inquiries and suggest products
- Ensure product freshness and order accuracy
- Practice preventive maintenance and report issues
- Report accidents and safety concerns
