STORE/NIGHT CLERK
About the role
Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all established quality assurance standards.
Responsibilities
- Embrace the Customer 1st strategy and encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service.
- Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
- Handle stressful situations with composure and professionalism.
- Manage inventory, label, stock and check product quality to ensure freshness.
- Recommend grocery items to customers and inform them of specials.
- Respond to customer inquiries and suggest products.
- Report discrepancies and unsafe conditions to management.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures.
- Participate in preventive maintenance and report equipment issues.
- Notify management of accidents and illegal activities.
Requirements
- Minimum ability to handle stressful situations.
- Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
- Effective communication skills.
- Desired any retail experience.
- Second language (speaking, reading and/or writing) - Promote trust and respect among associates.
Qualifications
- Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department.
- Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
- Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment.
