Responsibilities

• Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment.

• Recommend grocery items to customers.
• Check product quality.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers.
• Stay current with store promotions and policies.
• Adhere to food safety regulations.
• Ensure proper storage and display of products.
• Report accidents and safety issues.
• Report all safety risks, illegal activity, and incidents.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Effective communication skills.
• Desired: Retail experience, second language skills (speaking, reading, writing).
