STORE/NIGHT CLERK

Responsibilities

• Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
• Embrace the Customer 1st strategy.
• Handle stressful situations effectively.
• Communicate effectively with customers and associates.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold.
• Recommend grocery items and inform customers of specials.
• Check product quality and label, stock, and inventory merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies.
• Display a positive attitude.
• Stay current with store promotions and adhere to safety regulations.
• Practice preventive maintenance and report safety risks/issues.
• Notify management of accidents and illegal activity.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Effective communication skills.
• Desired: Retail experience, second language proficiency (speaking, reading, writing).
