Responsibilities
- Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Deliver excellent customer service.

- Handle stressful situations.

- Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold.
- Recommend and suggest products to customers.
- Check product quality and freshness.
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
- Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies.
- Display a positive attitude.
- Stay current with store promotions and policies.
- Adhere to food safety regulations.
- Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions.
- Practice preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Notify management of accidents and safety risks.
- Report all safety risks/issues and illegal activity.
Qualifications
- Ability to handle stressful situations.
- Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
- Effective communication skills.
- Desired: Retail experience, second language skills (speaking, reading, and/or writing).
