About the role

We are seeking a Meat Department Associate to join our team at Weis Markets. This role involves receiving, pricing, stocking, and preparing meat and seafood products while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow established procedures for receiving, unloading, pricing, and stocking incoming shipments to ensure product quality, accuracy, and proper rotation.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with company, state, federal, and OSHA safety and sanitation regulations.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and government weights, measures, and labeling laws.
• Greet and take orders from customers.
• Cut, tray, and package all required meat and seafood products for daily operations.
• Maintain proper safety practices while using cutting tools, including compliance with mesh glove requirements.
• Participate in pre-inventory preparation, including organizing back stock and verifying product tags.
• Assist in other departments as needed.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a retail environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
