About the role

The Store Manager oversees all aspects of store operations, influencing guest satisfaction and performance of retail staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead in a multiunit capacity
• Provide and model best-in-class guest service
• Support the total shopping environment
• Process guest purchases/return transactions
• Promote GameStop’s guest benefits
• Recruit, interview, hire, assess, develop, and retain high-performing associates
• Schedule store associates
• Ensure associates have completed onboarding and training
• Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates, Retail Keyholders, and Assistant Store Managers
• Ensure optimal guest service and meet/exceed sales and profit goals
• Count, balance, and reconcile daily business transaction totals
• Perform store inventory counts and fulfill Omni-Channel orders
• Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention
• Maintain store records and ensure safety
• Work collaboratively with military personnel on military bases

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States
• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or accredited bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred
• At least 1 year of retail management experience required; at least 3 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management/leadership experience preferred
• Video game knowledge preferred
