About the role
The Store Manager oversees all aspects of store operations, influencing guest satisfaction and driving sales. This role utilizes GameStop's unique business model to foster a positive shopping environment and engage guests in the gaming community.
Responsibilities
- Provide best-in-class guest service, greet and assist guests, and promote GameStop's guest benefits.
- Manage and lead a retail team, ensuring efficient operations and guest satisfaction.
- Recruit, train, and supervise associates, ensuring they meet performance standards.
- Ensure store cleanliness, organize merchandise, and fulfill customer orders.
- Count and reconcile daily transactions, maintain accurate records, and report discrepancies.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and ethical responsibilities.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the US.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least 1 year of retail management experience, and 3 years of retail sales or management experience preferred.
- Video game knowledge is preferred.
