About the role
The Store Manager oversees all aspects of store operations, influencing guest satisfaction and driving sales through exceptional customer service and strategic management.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a multiunit store operation, ensuring prompt and accurate guest service.
- Develop and promote a sales culture by sharing product knowledge and fostering guest loyalty.
- Ensure a clean, organized shopping environment and supervise a retail staff.
- Recruit, interview, hire, assess, develop, and retain high-performing associates.
- Train associates on company policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Schedule and delegate tasks to ensure optimal guest service and meet sales and profit targets.
- Count, balance, and reconcile daily business transactions, and maintain store records.
- Lead store team in achieving sales, profit, and shrink goals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 1 year of retail management experience required; 3 years preferred.
- Video game knowledge preferred.
- Outgoing personality with strong people skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team.
- Basic mathematics and alphabetizing skills.
- Reliable and trustworthy, able to work alone and under pressure.
- Ability to stand, move, bend, stoop, crouch, stretch, reach, lift up to 30 lbs., and use fine and gross motor skills.
