About the role
The Store Manager oversees all aspects of store operations, influencing guest satisfaction and performance through exceptional customer service and strategic sales initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a multiunit store, ensuring prompt and courteous guest service.
- Support the shopping environment, promoting GameStop’s guest benefits and fulfilling orders.
- Recruit, hire, train, and retain associates, ensuring they understand company policies and procedures.
- Schedule and supervise staff, maintaining optimal guest service standards.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring accurate counts and proper labeling of merchandise.
- Process transactions, maintain financial accuracy, and handle security and safety protocols.
- Lead the team in achieving sales and profit targets, while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 1 year of retail management experience, and at least 3 years of retail sales or management experience preferred.
- Video game knowledge is preferred.
- Outgoing personality with strong people skills, clear communication, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
