Insomnia Cookies is seeking hospitality-focused individuals for a full-time hourly Store Manager in Training (MIT) position at our Richardson, TX store.

Insomnia Cookies was founded in a college dorm room by then-student, Seth Berkowitz. With over 20 years of growth, our innovative bakery and delivery concept has become a cult brand known for its warm, delicious cookies delivered late into the night. We now have over 300 stores globally, an experiential flagship location in Philadelphia, and a rapidly expanding nationwide shipping and gifting portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Perform as Manager-on-Duty during scheduled shifts when the Store Ops Manager (GM) is not present
- Supervise, train, and coach 2-5 team members engaged in cookie sales and customer deliveries
- Lead new hourly staff onboarding and initial training
- Conduct initial interviews for potential new hires (Cookie Crew, Shift Leaders, and Delivery Drivers) in the manager’s absence
- Support Store Ops Manager with ordering, inventory control, and scheduling
- Hold staff accountable to Insomnia Cookies’ standards (baking, uniform, company policies, etc.)
- Ensure upselling and overall customer service excellence, including training team members to provide the best service
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or retail store
- Prior experience conducting in-person interviews of hourly support staff
- Point of Sale (POS) systems experience
- Ability to utilize MS Office, Word, and Applicant Tracking Systems
- Ability to work a 4-5 day work week with 1-2 mid-to-late shifts (Thursday–Sunday)
- Must be 18 years of age or older and legally eligible for employment in the United States

Schedule
- 4-5 day work week
- 1-2 mid-to-late shifts (Thursday–Sunday)
