Essential Functions

  • Sets daily and weekly goals related to the store’s sales activities, oversees coworkers' sales activities, approves rental agreements, and monitors planned results for sales as measured by revenue and growth.
  • Sets daily and weekly goals related to the store’s collection activities, oversees coworkers' collection activities, follows up on more difficult accounts that require intervention, approves customer commitments, monitors and follows up with coworkers on planned results for collection activities to ensure all coworkers comply with established procedures and practices for collections.
  • Makes sure to monitor and achieve planned results for profits for the store by effectively managing store resources (manage and control store expenses).
  • Schedules and organizes the daily activities and goals of all coworkers in the store and follows up with coworkers to adjust schedules as needed and ensure they are on task.
  • Oversees and follows up on timely staffing of assigned store, including recruiting, interviewing, and hiring coworkers (interacting with the District Manager and Human Resources), ensures compliance with company policies and legal requirements related to hiring, and supports the company's commitment to maintaining a diverse workforce.
  • Works to maximize retention of coworkers and reduce turnover and coworker complaints by creating a positive and productive work environment.
  • Supports all efforts to comply with and effectively execute all company programs, policies, and processes.
  • Trains, oversees, and monitors coworkers' commitment to exceptional customer service. Monitors and improves the sales and account management skills of coworkers through training and in-the-moment coaching. Resolves problems and complaints quickly to avoid serious problems. Monitors store operations to ensure customer-friendly service is consistently provided.
  • Protects company assets through expense management, oversees and controls inventory, product ordering and pricing, cash handling, and store security.
  • Provides leadership to ensure all store’s merchandising, cleanliness, and overall appearance present the best possible appearance to the customer.

Required Education And Experience

  • 3 – 5 years of retail/management experience.
  • Completion of RAC’s Store Manager Development Program, 4th Gear.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform all essential job functions at the Assistant Manager level.
  • Computer literacy/proficiency in store operation applications.
  • Valid state driver’s license and good driving record.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly talks and hears.

Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position, and days and hours of work are Monday through Saturday, store open to close hours.
  • This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.
  • Schedules and hours per week/overtime work may change throughout the year as dictated by management and business needs.
